Project Goals

The Partnership

When the JLF team really started really exploring how to build a national device repair and disposition brand, the goal was bigger than building a repair company — it was about creating a scalable engine for neuroinclusion, sustainability, and circular economy impact. What began as a mobile device repair startup evolved into a national platform for workforce development, e-waste reduction, and community reinvestment.

Working hand-in-hand with the CEO, Resonator helped shape Techtonic’s strategic direction and innovative business model, brand architecture, and operational blueprint, aligning it with the Jonathan’s Landing Foundation’s mission to create meaningful employment pathways for neurodiverse adults. The first major initiative under this new structure, the Million Device Drive (MDD), partners with global brands to keep devices out of landfills while funding job creation, apprenticeship opportunities, and national WISE Certification in repair.

Create operations systems that scale.

As part of that vision, we led a strategic merger with a national B2B repair depot, integrating its established repair infrastructure, customer base, and technical expertise into Techtonic’s social enterprise model.

Together with Kimberly McCarten, CEO at JLF, we rebuilt the entire operations stack, from logistics and training systems to financial modeling and brand identity, preparing the company to scale nationally.

Using anti-fragile systems design, detailed operations metric dashboarding, intricate P&L tracking by account and line of business, and robust media and public relations campaigning,  we're helping create thousands of jobs for adults with autism across the U.S. and beyond.

Build neuroinclusive career pathways.

Through Techtonic’s apprenticeship pipeline and WISE Certification training, we helped design one of the nation’s first neuroinclusive technician programs that equips adults on the spectrum with industry-recognized credentials, real-world repair experience, and direct employment pathways. This workforce model now serves as a blueprint for how technical training and social enterprise can intersect to create lasting systems of inclusion and economic mobility.

A key part of that was our partnership with CTIA to develop a national WISE Certification training curriculum built with Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles that has the necessary supports baked in to aid learners at every step. By taking a "microcredential" approach to the curriculum, developed by JLF CEO Kimberly McCarten, we were able to create best-in-breed training that allows all learners to achieve the level of certification that is best for them, opening up more job pathways.
