Background

The Partner

On August 27th, 2022, the Ginsburg Family Foundation brought the National Ballet of Ukraine to the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts in Orlando, FL, for a historic performance in support of the Ukrainian people and their fight for independence against a Russian invasion.

In just two weeks, Resonator put together a production team and creative direction to film the performance for PBS. The performance has raised an incredible $807K+ for charity, with all proceeds going to humanitarian aid partnerships with, RAZOM for Ukraine, UNICEF, and the Olena Zelenska Foundation (the First Lady of Ukraine).

Project Goals

The Partnership

The event was initially conceived and coordinated by Marc McMurrin, the President & CEO of the Ginsburg Family Foundation. Marc is the former Executive VP of the Kyiv Symphony Orchestra and Chorus, and his father directed the Symphony for 25 years—an accomplished conductor and contributor to Ukraine’s national music and arts scene.

In the end, the team delivered a two-hour feature film, in both an online streaming format and in a European broadcast format to be aired on Ukrainian national television—as well as three promo videos: a 60-second, 30-second, and 15-second video. The team also produced 40 incredible portraits shot in large-format TIFF file outputs that are ready for billboard-sized media, if needed.

And to cap it all off, the team built 4 custom photo boxes that each contains 20 archival giclee prints, a 32GB crystal thumb drive with the digital photo and video assets, and a hard drive for President Zelensky with those same assets. The president’s hard drive was delivered in a handmade leather case that was custom made by Freehand Goods, a local leather and goods manufacturer in Orlando, FL.

Here are a few additional assets we created for the film, including promos, curated gift sets for the ballet, and photo boxes with archival prints that were shot by Mike Dunn through his agency Rust + Rebel.
